Celebrating National Technology Day, we at Youth Incorporated Magazine had the opportunity of attending the inauguration of ‘Machined to Think’, a science exhibition at Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai. The exhibition aimed at introducing technologies reputed to be the making of the ‘fourth industrial revolution.’ It focused mainly on the emerging growth of Artificial Intelligence and portrayed science in a way that made it alluring and fun. Mentioned below are few inventions at the exhibition that intrigued us the most!

Hands-on model to explain topography:

A large tray filled with white sand placed under a projector, illuminated by colours to show altitude. On changing the height of a sand hill, the corresponding color denoting the altitude of the hill, would change.

Artificial intelligence:

When a scrambled Rubik’s cube was placed inside a robot, the robot scanned the cube and unscrambled it within seconds.

Smart Piano:

Upon playing a tune on a piano, the piano intercepted the tune, and answered the rhythms. A perfect solution to every composer’s problems!
