This has resulted in not only the forfeiture of visa fees but also the loss of money spent on pre-booked flights and hotel reservations. Rishikesh Pujari, Director of Bihar Travels, said, “The rejection rate for Dubai tourist visa applications is unprecedented; this has never happened before. Earlier, nearly 99% of Dubai visa applications would be approved. Now, we are seeing rejections even for well-prepared travellers. There have been cases where, despite all the documents being in place, the visa was still not granted.” Pujari mentioned that a group of 35 people had to cancel their Dubai trip when a family member’s visa was rejected, causing them financial loss.
Vijay Thakkar, Director of Hasmukh Travels, shared that two of his travellers’ visas were rejected even though they had submitted all the necessary documents. He said, “Two of our travellers had their Dubai visa applications rejected. They were supposed to stay with relatives in Dubai. We submitted the documents as per the new rules, but their applications were still denied.”
