Mass copying during exams using Whatsapp. Phones seized from eng. colleges in Kerala

Twenty-eight mobile phones have been seized from 4 engineering colleges in connection with exam malpractice during supplementary examinations held on October 23. Out of the seized ones, 16 were confiscated from one college, 10 from another, and one each from the two other colleges.

Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia recommended that board exams of class 10th and 12th should be discontinued after the rollout of the new National Education Policy(NEP). He further advised that the union government should introduce external assessment and multi-year stage-wise classes at the end of each stage. 

Trump mocks Kamala Harris’s laughter, says, ‘Is there something wrong with her?’

US President Donald Trump questioned Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris’s laughter. He said, ‘’Did you see her last night on television with a laugh? I said, ‘Is there something wrong with her?’ She kept laughing at very, you know, serious questions’’. He further said that she should not laugh at every question that is asked. 

NASA discovers traces of water on the sunlit surface of the moon

NASA announced that the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) has confirmed there’s water on the sunlit surface of the Moon. SOFIA has detected water molecules in Clavius crater, one of the largest craters visible from Earth. NASA also shared the picture stating that water may be distributed across the lunar surface, and not limited to cold, shadow places.

Stem might get removed from Apple AirPods pro

AirPods Pro model is in update as Apple is planning to eliminate the short straw-like stem that sticks around the bottom. Reports said that the AirPods are being redesigned to look more like AirPods pro, with a shorter stem and replaceable ear tips. Apple is also working to improve the battery life of AirPods.

Founder Sridhar Vembu and Zoho’s billionaire CEO recently moved to a village in Tamil Nad, said in an interview with yourStory, ‘’If you go to Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, you’ll realize that majority of talent pool does not come from there but from small towns and rural areas.’’ He also added that tech should be taken to rural doorsteps to help them build it.

To fix the issue Google Pay app to get temporarily removed from Apple’s App store

A Google spokesperson said on Monday that to fix an issue, GooglePay to be temporarily removed from the Apple’s App Store. He also added that the issue does not impact apps’ Android version and Google Pay remains available on Google’s Play Store. Following the glitch, the app was briefly taken down from the Play Store earlier in August.

Man seeks PM’s help in ‘Mann ki Baat’ to educate poor children

Social worker(Chandigarh-based) Sandeep Kumar, was mentioned by PM Narendra Modi in his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’, requested for PM’s help to educate poor children. He said, ‘’ I request the government to help us get a bigger office so we can take more books to children.’’

Reliance Retail says, ’will acquire Future Group without any delay’

After a Singapore arbitrator asked to put a hold on the deal, Reliance Retail issued a statement saying it will acquire Future Group ‘’without any delay.’’ It entered the deal ‘’ under proper legal advice and the rights and obligations are fully enforceable under Indian Law’’, said the Mukesh Ambani- led venture.
