Nirbhaya, the award-winning play based on the horrific story of the Delhi gang-rape victim will be showcased in India. The play has toured the world and has also come to be the recipient of a number of awards along the way.
Nirbhaya, meaning fearless, tells the tale of the surmountable struggles that a young girl had to brace at the hands of a group of men on the night of 16 December 2012.
Violence against women not only the India, but across the world is one of the major problems plaguing society. In this regard, a play that brings to the fore the suffering one woman had to face serves as being an exemplary force to not only the women of the this country, but also its men.
The play has been written by Yael Farber, an accomplished director who has created this though-provoking masterpiece touching on a very sensitive issue.
The tour that will start in Mumbai at the NCPA (17th-20th March, 7:30 p.m.), will go on to Delhi (FICCI auditorium, 22nd-24th March, 7:30 p.m.) and Bangalore (Ranga Shankara, 26th-28th March 7:30 pm).
