The exciting launch of Gran Turismo 6 promises the best racing game on the PlayStation 3
The most successful gaming franchise for the Sony PlayStation range of home gaming consoles has recently launched the latest edition of its most beloved racing game. Gran Turismo 6 is expected to be the cherry on the cake for the franchise’s 15th anniversary with all new features that will make it the ultimate racing game for video game enthusiasts.
Mr. Atindriya Bose, Country Head, PlayStation India said, “GT6 will reinforce the thrills of car racing through the convergence of the virtual and the real world with its special attention to prescision and real driving simulation. Focusing on the car and racing enthusiasts, we ran a month long partnership with Mercedes Benz as a build up to the final launch event of Gran Turismo 6 in the India market. We are confident that GT6 will set new standards for car racing on gaming consoles”.
Gran Turismo 6 will boast the following new features:
- The game will have more than 1,200 cars in total. There has been an addition of over 120 new cars to this game as compared to the previous edition. The list of cars will include historic cars, road cars and the latest race cars from popular racing series around the world. Players will also be able to unlock a special event featuring the Lunar Rover Vehicle.
- There will be a total of 37 race tracks for players to enjoy. There will be seven new tracks as compared to the previous edition and will include the Silverstone Circuit, Australia’s Mount Panorama and Spain’s Ascari Race Resort.
- Players will also be able to participate in online races and communicate with other players around the world through network rooms. A soon-to-launch update will see the inclusion of mobile devices in this community feature.
- Many more features in including regular updates to the game which will add new features, functions, cars and tracks in due time.
The game was launched on 6 December, 2013 in two editions: the Standard Edition priced at Rs.3, 499 and the Anniversary Edition priced at Rs. 4,299.
