Cersei’s Wildfire Bomb:
In order to avenge her imprisonment and walk of shame by the High Sparrow, and to permanently eliminate the Tyrells, Cersie Lannister had barrels of wildfire planted in a serioes of networking tunnels under the Sept of Baelor. The wildfire explosion effectively eliminated the Faith as a political force, but it remains unclear how the people of King’s Landing will take it.
King Tommen’s Suicide :
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. While mass murdering the entire Faith worked in her favour, it lead to the death of her last remaining child, King Tommen fulfilling the prophecy a witch gave her during her childhood. Tommen, unable to deal with the demise of his wife, Margery Tyrell in the wildfire explosion, jumped out a window to his death. Being the only thing keeping her sane, it is now believed that Cersie will now leave no stone unturned to wreak havoc in Kings Landing and will viciously eliminate anyone who wanders into her path to power. The last episode showed her succeeding Tommen on the Iron Throne.
Arya’s Revenge:
Revenge is a dish best served cold, and that is exactly how Arya relished hers. She put her training at the House of Black and White to use, feeding Walder Frey his dead son’s carcass as a pie, only to slash his throat minutes later. Her exact words were, “My name is Arya Stark,” she whispered. The last thing you are ever going to see is a Stark smiling down at you as you die.” While it’s not how we’re used to seeing Arya, the scene definitely sent chills down our spine.
Jon Snow’s Parentage Revealed:
The long drawn mystery of Jon snow’s parentage was finally revealed this finale. Bran’s warging back into time showed the young Ned Stark comforting his dying sister Lyanna in the room in which she had just given birth. The room also happens to be situated in the tower in which she is believed to be held captive by Rhaegar Targeryan. Her final act was to entrust Ned the care of her newborn baby, who she whispered into his ear is none other than Jon Snow. She also entrusted Ned with the promise of shielding him from King Robert Baratheon, who she was betrothed to at the time. She believed that was he to find out, he would kill the baby with the first chance he gets. Which further makes us wonder is Jon could possibly be the love child of Rhaegar and Lyanna Stark.
Daenerys Finally leaves Meereen:
The Mother of Dragons, Daenery’s is finally ready to leave Slavers Bay and wage war on Westeros. She is finally going to reach her goal of sitting on the Iron Throne and ruling over the seven kingdoms. Daenery’s was thankful for Tyrion’s advice and appreciated his faith in her. With Daenery’s and Tyrion on a course of war against Queen Cersei for the Iron Throne, this is an alliance that we believe will set off a chain of events in the next season.
