The Indian School of Business (ISB) has received the accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). This makes ISB the first business school in South Asia to be officially recognised by the AACSB. What’s more, this accreditation coincides with ISB’s 10th anniversary. Now, ISB aims to put India firmly on the world management education map. The Indian B-school is currently in the process of setting up its second campus in Mohali, Punjab, which will also have specialised institutes that promote research and education in critical areas with regards to India’s development. Slated to operate from April 2012 onwards, the Mohali campus will also offer current programmes. This is a feather in the cap for ISB since the AACSB accreditation has been earned by less than five per cent of the world’s business schools. As of December 2011, 643 institutions hold the AACSB accreditation.
