S.K SOMAIYA PLACEMENT CELL has come back with the CAREER FEST with the theme KEEP GOING, which will be a very big opportunity for all the students where they will be able to choose their dream job. They will get an exposure to the corporate world. All the undergraduate and graduate students are invited to attend the fest. Be it a Fresher who is confused about his/her internship and dream job or the final year student. This will be the chance for all the college to get out of the college attire towards professionalism. This fest provides tremendous networking opportunities to all the students. Last year was our very first career fest where we provided 238 placements and 119 internships to the students. We had 12 Sponsors and 37 companies attended our career fest. This year our aim is to overshoot that target and organize an event which has never been done in the history of S.K Somaiya college of arts, science and commerce.
S.K Somaiya college, Vidyavihar, is the sixth in line to initiate a PLACEMENT CELL that is conducted solely by dynamic students. S.K Somaiya college started their own internship cell in 2015. After making a grand success of it, the faculty and students upgraded the cell into a PLACEMENT CELL. Initially, this cell consisted of 13 students from BMS (Bachelor of management studies). The students used to do all the activities of the cell by their own efforts and had no working space in the college. They faced a number of hurdles. Later, looking at their efforts, the college provided a helping hand to the students by providing them their own cabin in the office. On a more exciting note, the PLACEMENT CELL has come up with a website for the students of S.K Somaiya college as well as for students of other colleges.The students get a unique code after registering on the website. This unique code will help the students get internships and placements throughout the year as well as for the career fest.
