ISB Executive Education Launches Healthcare Management Program

Healthcare systems today are complex and demand more efficiency and accountability than ever before. The Indian School of Business (ISB) Executive Education, and Emeritus along with the Max Institute of Healthcare Management, has come up with the Certificate Programme in Healthcare Management. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between clinical and business skills in the healthcare sector, addressing a critical need as the industry undergoes significant growth and transformation.

With the Indian healthcare market projected to reach USD 320 billion by 2028, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12 per cent, the sector is poised for substantial innovation. Advancing in technology, shifting patient needs, and evolving management practices are driving this expansion, there is a growing demand for healthcare leaders who possess a comprehensive understanding of the industry’s financial, operational, marketing, and strategic aspects. Furthermore, the programme will be taught by leading ISB faculty and is ideal for doctors and entrepreneurs, resident doctors and doctors of pharmacy who want to understand the role of management.

Programme Overview 

The 12-week online programme will be executed for healthcare professionals aspiring to transition into team leader or administrative roles, particularly suited for mid-level healthcare administrative professionals who seek advanced managerial skills and enhance healthcare delivery within their institutions. Additionally, it is beneficial for medical professionals planning to start their clinics, hospitals, or businesses in the healthcare sector.

Course Format

The program includes pre-recorded videos for self-paced learning delivered by ISB Executive Education faculty, real-world case studies, business scenarios, and hands-on projects on healthcare marketing and strategic management, it offers live masterclasses on AI and Generative AI in Healthcare, total quality management, healthcare fraud detection, and healthcare analytics. Modules cover accounting in healthcare, cash flows and financial ratios, process design and analysis, process excellence, and raising capital in healthcare.

Eligibility Criteria and Fees Structure

The programme is open to graduates and diploma holders from recognised universities. It begins on September 12, 2024, with a fee of Rs 1,20,000 plus GST. Participants who complete the programme with a minimum grading of 70 per cent in all required assignments will receive a certificate of completion from ISB Executive Education.

Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK): Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) is one of its kind program to improve the overall quality of life of children enabling all children to achieve their full potential; and also provides comprehensive care to all the children in the community.

Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK): It intends to ensure the holistic development of the adolescent population. The RKSK programme defines an adolescent as a person between 10-19 years of age, in urban and rural areas, including both girls and boys, married and unmarried, poor and affluent, whether they are in school or out of school. The programme also focuses on reaching out to all adolescents including Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ).

Ayushman Bharat School Health Program: The initiative targets both Education and Health and intends to facilitate an integrated approach to health programming and more effective learning at the school level. Under this programme, teachers act as “Health and Wellness Ambassadors” and disseminate various key information by organising culturally sensitive activity-based sessions for one hour per week for 24 weeks a year to promote joyful learning.

After graduating from the programme, will be welcomed into the ISB-AMP Alumni network and the respective Special Interest Group (SIG), SIGs are a central component of alumni activity, providing an ecosystem wherein you can cultivate your professional network, avail of learning opportunities and access a supportive community. The alumni membership is non-refundable for participants who successfully graduate from the programme. This fee will be fully refundable for participants who do not graduate from the programme. The Associate Alumni membership fee for the programme would be INR 15,000 plus GST.
