Every winter, a distinctive and captivating shift occurs at IIT Bombay. The campus temporarily steps back from its usual academic rigour, transforming into a space where cultural expression takes precedence. Mood Indigo, or MI, is not just a campus event; it is a significant cultural phenomenon. This transformation is marked by music playing across the grounds, distinct fashion statements, widespread laughter in the auditoriums, and creativity becoming a universally shared language.
Dates and Scale
This year’s edition is scheduled for three focused days, running from December 16th to 18th.
Thousands of young attendees, travelling from various parts of India and abroad, will gather to engage in the festival’s activities, seeking new experiences and creating lasting memories. A notable feature is that the event is offered completely free of cost for all college students, establishing it as an accessible and prominent gateway to art, culture, music, and entertainment. It functions as a large-scale cultural festival that encourages artistic exploration and imaginative engagement, representing a major annual occasion for students who appreciate music, creativity, and the dynamic atmosphere of a large festival. It is recognised as a platform where established artists perform, and emerging talents gain recognition. Mood Indigo is characterised by its youthful energy, vibrant nature, and memorable experiences.
