Kyani and Co.

Situated opposite Metro Theatre, Kyani and Co. was established in 1904. The place is archaically furnished and it also has a separate section for family dining.It offers a wide variety of cream and mawa cakes and is also famous for its elaichi biscuits and mouthwatering bun muska which tastes best with chai and its a must have.

The Leopold Café

The Leopold café was founded in 1871. The place is a famous joint for drinking and eating. The well known hangout place also has an amazing art history. Their most recommended dishes are Leopold special vegetarian pasta, red pepper chicken, prawn chilli and soya wine chicken and the café also serves some delicious patisseries and puffs.

Neel

The 100 year old restaurant is set amidst a picturesque backdrop. Surrounded by lush green rain trees, the beautiful archaic restaurant is situated at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse.  The place offers traditional dishes with new twists and also has a great variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.Some of the promising dishes that place offer are Hyderabadi fish and whole lambs, Chilgozeka Shorba, Kashmiri Sebkisabzi, Achari Portobello mushrooms and Gucchiki Biryani.

Sassanian and Co.

The 100 year old Iranian café and restaurant at Marine Lines offers some lip-smacking Parsi dishes that one should try at least once.  The ambience of the restaurant is similar to any other Iranian café. The place is hygienic and extremely light on pocket and the café also serves some great variety of good chicken dishes such as Chicken Pattice, Chicken Dhansak and Parsi Chicken fry.

Madras Cafe

Madras Café looks like a typical old Udupi restaurant but you will find a lot of people from different age groups and professional fields come to sip in the famous filter coffee and have Dahi missal, Dosas and Idlis. It is highly recommended for the ones who enjoy South Indian Cuisines and is also dirt cheap for the kind of excellent food it offers.  Madras Café is situated at Matunga East.

The Tea center

Founded by the Tea Board of Mumbai this cafe offers some premium varieties of teas such as Darjeeling, Nilgiri and Darjeeling Blooming Tea. The place also has a great range of flavored teas like rose tea (with dried rose petals), hot buttered apple tea (apple flavored with hints of butter for a smooth tea) and Banana Caramel tea. To go with the beverages the place serves some appetizing quick bytes such as egg Bhurjis, chilly cheese toast and the masala French fries. The ambience of the place will take you back to the Victorian Era, which is the reason why the place has also become a culinary landmark.
