As the calendar steadily inches towards the end of the year, we find ourselves at a critical juncture: 100 days left until the dawn of a new year. For many, this time marks the perfect opportunity to reflect, recalibrate, and recommit to those resolutions all of us made when the year started back in January. It’s a common narrative: we set resolutions in the euphoria of a fresh year, only to gradually forget them as life’s demands take over. It’s time to dust off those forgotten promises and take a closer look.

If you’re thinking, why is it so important to revisit resolutions? Well, simply put, it’s an exercise in personal growth and self-improvement. When we revisit our resolutions, we give ourselves a chance to realign our actions with our aspirations. It’s a chance to ask ourselves, “Am I still committed to this goal? Does it still matter to me?”

One of the first steps in the journey of revisiting your resolutions is assessing your progress, and then adjusting your goals according to your lifestyle right now. Be open to adjusting your goals if they no longer resonate with your current life situation. It’s not about quitting but adapting to your evolving needs and priorities.

Now that you have less time (only 100 days!) and a better idea of how the year is looking for you, you can hold yourself accountable for your goals for the new year. Accountability is often the key to sticking with resolutions. Perhaps you can share your resolutions with a friend or family member who could give you the encouragement and support you need to keep going. Having someone or something to answer to can make a world of difference.

If you don’t want to have the same resolutions as the start of the year, there’s nothing wrong with setting new goals. However, it’s important that you make a plan. Break down your goals into actionable steps and set a timeline. Having a clear plan can make your resolutions feel more attainable, especially since there are barely only 3 months left to the new year.

On the other hand, if you’re someone who hasn’t given up on your resolutions yet, and is still going, make sure you celebrate your progress! Consistency leads to success and if you look back at it, you’ll see how far you’ve come from when you first started nine months ago. Recognize and reward yourself for your efforts. It’ll keep you motivated and make the journey more enjoyable.

As we stand with 100 days left until the new year, we have a golden opportunity to revisit our resolutions with renewed enthusiasm. Remember, it’s not about perfection; it’s about progress. So, let’s take this moment to reflect, adjust, and embrace the new year with determination and purpose. Your resolutions are waiting for you; it’s time to make them a reality.
