CBSE introduces practise books for math for students of grade 7-10

To promote critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, CBSE introduced Mathematics practise books for grade 7-10 on Wednesday. They aim at helping students solve problems easily until physical classes resume. The book is available on the CBSE website and DIKSHA platform.

Schools have been shut since March, 2020 and will continue to be so as the number of cases increase everyday. Even for the states that are allowed to reopen schools cannot force attendance and parental permission is required. Only PhD and postgraduate science students who require the use of laboratories will be allowed to access them from October 15.

Trump refuses to participate in the 2nd presidential debate if it is held virtually. Organizers took this step as Trump had been diagnosed with Covid-19 a week ago. He is still contagious with the virus and should ideally isolate himself for 10 days. 

SpaceX launches its 13th Starlink mission successfully

SpaceX has successfully launched 60 Starlink broadband internet satellites. It had been delayed thrice. This means more than 700 SpaceX satellites have been launched so far.

Mi India will launch its 7-stage content-aware  AdaptiveSync display technology. It enables 7 stages of refresh rate adjustment. It will eliminate screen lags and display jittering. Mi is the first ever phone to vary its refresh rate in seven stages.

The Delhi administration announced on Thursday that they will not put posters on the houses of people who are in home isolation. They mentioned this was to reduce the unnecessary stigma. They hope this will encourage more people to get tested.

To fight air pollution in Delhi, the use of diesel generators have been banned, except for emergency or essential uses. Other construction projects and economic activity is already affecting everyone around. Evidence states that pollution can make COVID-19 more dangerous to health.
