Summers have always been a good reason to break the monotony of the day to day life and go on a long vacation. International trips are always a great idea but we fail to even acknowledge the fact that India too, has many beautiful places, which are worth exploring. 

The summer season has begun and is going to be blazing. It’s time to pack your bags and travel to a place which will soothe your body will cool temperature. While places like Jammu and Kashmir, Shimla, Nainital, Ooty, and Mahabaleshwar are very common, there are other places which are not just different but also worthy of a visit.

Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh

Located in Arunachal Pradesh, Tawang is known for having the oldest Buddhist monasteries. Being a hilly region, the mountains here are flush green. Tawang is also home to beautiful water spots like Pankang Teng Tso Lake, The Paradise Lake, Shonga-tser Lake, and Nuranang waterfall, which keep the atmosphere cool and pleasant. For all those who love trekking, this place is an absolute treat. Popular places that you can visit are Tawang Monastery, Taktsang Gompa, Bumla Pass, Jaswant Garh, and Tawang War Memorial.

Pachmarhi, Madhya Pardesh

A hill station in Madhya Pradesh, it is also popularly known as ‘Satpura Ki Rani’. It is situated amidst the Satpura range and is dressed with nature. It is believed that the Pandavas of Mahabharata once visited Pachmarhi during their exile. As it stands at an altitude of 1067 metres, the climate here is cool. Those who visit Pachmarhi have many places to see like Priyadarshini (Forsyth Point), Jamuna Prapat (waterfall),  Handi Khoh (ravine), Apsara Vihar (Fairy Pool), Pandav Caves, Satpura National Park, etc.

Munnar, Kerala

A part of Kerala, Munnar is complete bliss. It is placed at the convergence of three rivers, namely Kundaly, Madhurapuzha and Nallathanni. You can go cycling and trekking exploring the place. This is an ultimate adventurous location for adventure lovers. It is located in Maharashtra. Malshej Ghat is known for Mulberry orchards, lush green blooming grass fields, and rugged ruins.
