Scenarios We'd Like in 24 INDIA

Prime Minister-in-waiting Aditya Singhania who is being saved from an assassination attempt by Anti- Terrorism Unit (ATU) head Jai Singh Rathod (Anil Kapoor) turns out to be extremely corrupt and has an underhand deal with terrorism cells. Rathod finds out and changes course to stop Singhania himself.

Rathod takes a leaf out of Dexter’s book (Dexter Morgan from the show Dexter) and instead of apprehending a terrorist and letting him face the legal proceedings, Rathod locks the terrorist up in a dungeon and shoots him dead. Might be a good way to show just how frustrating the length of a trial is in this country.

Fed up with his father’s constant absence on account of his demanding job, Rathod’s son Veer begins flirting with danger, and by danger we mean he befriends the very people whom Rathod is fighting against. Cue Barty Crouch and Barty Crouch Jr-style conflict with a twist. If you didn’t get that, you need to read Harry Potter.

Terrorists invade the Lok Sabha and hold all the ministers inside hostage. Rathod is sent and is told of the terrorists’ ploy – the Prime Minister is hidden away in the building; if the ATU manages to break in within 24 hours, they’ll kill the PM but free the ministers. If they can’t do anything in 24 hours, they’ll blow everyone up.
