After two years of being online, KC College’s Annual Media Fest Blitzkrieg, returned as a two-day fest in itself on the 19th and 20th of January.
The festival, which had the theme “Curia Regis: The Royal Council,” was graced by the presence of prominent names from the industry, including Neil Bhoopalam, Pritish Nandy, Prit Kamani, Ashish Bhatia, and Aditya Kriplani.
Not only this, but 15+ contingents participated in the festival, and the fest saw a footfall of more than 6,000 people on both days. Food, games, and shopping stalls were also set up for the attendees. The festival also had a fantastic schedule of events that were well-liked by celebrities and the contingents.
The crowd was transfixed throughout performances including Rangmanch (musical theatre), Emovere (dance), Regal Au Courant (fashion show), and Ghulmil (band events).
Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Provost, HSNC University Mumbai and Trustee H(S)NC Board graced the event and motivated the students with his enriching words. “Blitzkrieg is not just a festival; it’s a carnival.” “I am extremely proud of the efforts the students and faculty of the Dept. of Mass Media have put in making Blitzkrieg the best media festival,” said Prof. Dr. Hemlata K. Bagla, Vice Chancellor, HSNC University.
The I/C Principal of KC College, Dr. Tejashree Shanbhag, presided over the closing ceremony, during which the winners of each event were announced. Jai Hind College (Team Peshwa Bajirao) won the first podium of the festival, followed by KES Shroff College (Team Prithvi Raj Chauhan) in the second place, and National College (Team Versailles) in the third.
