We all’ve become so numb after listening to the news that Chester Bennington is no more. The lead vocalist of the famous band, Linkin Park, committed suicide at age 41. The coroner said that Bennington hanged himself at his Palos Verdes residence on Thursday, July 20.
Linkin Park bandmate Mike Shinoda tweeted – “shocked and heartbroken, but it’s true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.”
Formed in 1996, Linkin Park has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide and has two Grammy Awards.
Most of their famous albums include, Hybrid Theory, Meteora, etc. The band’s recent album was One More Light.
Bennington struggled with drug and alcohol abuse for years and was pretty much open about it. He also spoke about how he was abused by an older man as a child and the difficulties he faced. Bennington was married and had six children behind.
