SANCOALE, GOA — The K. K. Birla Goa Campus of BITS Pilani has officially pulled back the curtain on QUARK 2026, the latest edition of its premier national technical festival. Set to run from February 6th to 8th, the event centres on the provocative theme “Quantum Insurgence,” a concept designed to challenge India’s brightest young minds to embrace the next wave of technological disruption and intellectual exploration.

This year’s edition is centred on high-impact spectacles, most notably the return of the fan-favourite Robowars. This event will see custom-engineered combat robots battle for dominance in a custom-built arena, showcasing a unique blend of mechanical design and tactical brilliance. Adding to the visual flair of the weekend, the campus will host a sophisticated drone show featuring synchronised aerial formations, alongside a high-adrenaline stunt show by professional performers. These flagship events are intended to demonstrate the practical, exciting applications of engineering to a broad audience.

The festival’s reach extends into the evening with a star-studded cultural lineup intended to provide a high-energy contrast to the day’s technical rigours. Leading the musical festivities is the acclaimed Bollywood playback singer Benny Dayal, whose reputation for explosive live performances is expected to draw massive crowds. Joining the roster is the girl pop group W.I.S.H., India’s first mainstream female pop band, who will bring their chart-topping hits to the Goa stage for a vibrant, modern performance.

By framing QUARK 2026 as a movement rather than a simple festival, the organisers aim to foster a culture of curiosity and ambition among the nation’s youth. The three-day event serves as a critical platform for students from various disciplines to network, compete, and engage with the cutting edge of science and engineering. With registration now open to students across the country, the BITS Pilani Goa organising committee is ready to welcome the next generation of innovators with a simple, inclusive invitation: “This is your fest. See you at QUARK ’26.”
