GoMAD, a festival of music, art and dance, held its second edition this year from 25 to 27 October in Ooty. We caught up with four bands from all over the country that stood out for their musical styles

 

EMERGENCE

Musicians from all over the world (now based at Auroville) who play a fusion of Indian classical and pop blues.

SKY RABBIT

Formerly known as Medusa, Mumbai-based Sky Rabbit’s music falls within the boundaries of electronic-rock-alternative. The band has been around for eight years and has three albums to its name.

SOULMATE

A blues band with shades of rock-n-roll, R&B and soul, from Shillong. They have been around for 10 years and will be releasing their third album by this year end.

THE SKA VENGERS

An eight-piece ska-punk-funk-rocksteady band from New Delhi.
