“As September 2nd comes around, H.R. College is gearing up once again to host Mumbai’s largest mathematics and statistics festival, Numero Uno; an event it has been hosting with great success for the past 11 years.
A two day festival, Numero Uno promises to cater to not only the math whiz kids, but also to people who are ingenious and quick witted. It has 5 innovative and entertaining events, starting with Classic Quiz for people who are hardcore mathematicians and willing to battle it out. Then there’s Monopolium Mathematica, where contestants get to play on a life size Monopoly board. For the more logical and analytical people, Mind It! is a great event to show their special talents. There’s also C.H.A.O.S., for the more street smart people. The last event is Stumped to Bid, a very different and exciting event which is sure to get all the cricket lovers pumped. It is a one of its kind event where a mock IPL auction is conducted and contestants can bid on their favourite players.
The festival concludes with the event for the champion of champions, where the winners of the first four events go up against each other to lift the prestigious “Master Numero” trophy!
With over 120 schools and colleges participating, Numero Uno promises to provide a unique opportunity to students from all over Mumbai to compete in a plethora of different and exciting events.”
