Ross & Monica

It’s days like today that remind you of how much you love your brother or sister, and while you’re out pampering them with a gift or two, here are a few on-screen brother-sister duos for every kind of bhai-behen relationship that exists. Find out which one you are-

Aditi and Amit in Janne Tu Ya Janne Na

This sibling Jodi from the movie Janne Tu Ya Janne Na is certainly hard to forget. Amit was notorious for his good-for-nothing attitude towards Aditi, and despite their very grown-up age fought like two children (of course). But Amit was also very protective of his sister, as seen when he tried his best to convince Aditi not to marry her arrogant and egoistic fiancé. The duo proved to be the perfect balance of a love-hate relationship.

Ayesha and Kabir in Dil Dhadakne Do

Kabir-Aisha

Ayesha and Kabir definitely weren’t your average siblings. Their relationship didn’t have hair-pulling, screaming-till-your-lungs-hurt dynamic to it, but rather a more mature and sensitive demure. They did fight, cry, steal each other’s food, and crib, but most importantly, they stood by each other in time of need. They were each other’s shoulder to cry on, told each other their deepest secrets (with brutal threats to keep them of course!), and were the best dance partners ever!

Max and Shirley in Josh

Max-Shirley

If this movie didn’t give you some major sibling goals, we don’t know what will. Shirley is Max’s naive younger sister, and Max is the overprotective brother who rescues her whenever she lands herself in hot water, and keeps her away from boys. They certainly fought like real brothers and sisters but they love they have for each other will certainly pull at your heartstrings.

Ross and Monica in Friends

Ross & Monica

Easily one of the most loved pair of siblings on American and international television. They shared love, laughter, tears, and lots of fights. But Monica broke the biggest sibling code by marrying Ross’ best friend Chandler, which Ross was the least pleased about at the start but eventually gave their relationship a nod. However, all’s well that ends well, as Ross headed for a Happily Ever After with one of Monica’s best buds Rachel.

Liv and Nate in Bride Wars

Liv & Nate

With all the catfight drama going on between Emma and Liv, it’s hard to notice the bond between Live and Nate. Nevertheless, this one must be talked about. Liv certainly takes on the role of the protective older sister, especially after their parents are no more. But we see Nate’s caring side when he tries to convince Emma of how much Liv misses her in the midst of their rivalry. But he also has probably the biggest honour a sibling could get – walking his sister down the aisle on her big day (until Emma attacks her that is!!).

Alex and Justin in Wizards of Waverly Place

Alex & Justin

A classic example of being poles apart in terms of their personality, their relationship was a rollercoaster one. Alex was a lot more careless and free-spirited, whereas Justin was a more play-by-the-rules kind of person. Their personalities clashed in more ways than one, but it was their heart-to-heart conversations that brought out the best of their relationship.
