John Lasseter was once the chief creative officer of the famed Walt Disney Animation Studios, and he also served in the same position at Pixar. As a major force behind the two largest animation studios in the world, he has earned many accolades as a creative visionary.

John Lasseter is now the chief creative officer as well as the Director of Animation at Skydance Animation. This studio is already making a name for itself with its animated projects that are touching the hearts of audiences. John Lasseter conceived the studio as a place where highly creative people from around the world could come together to tell original stories that would grab audiences. With so many reboots being released, Skydance Animation instead focuses on originality.

As the director of the studio, John Lasseter, a two-time Academy Award winner, has brought on some of the biggest names in animation to focus on its original projects that include shorts, feature films, and series. Spellbound is a film that is forthcoming from the studio, and it features some of the best talents around. The people who work with John Lasseter and Skydance Animation have a lot of passion for storytelling and creativity, and this has shown itself in the projects the studio has already released.

Blush

Blush was a short that was recently released by the studio. This gentle tale is the story of an astronaut whose ship crashes into a planet that is lonely and desolate. He soon meets a magical creature who helps him to thrive in his new surroundings. The story has many special touches that dazzle the eyes and tug at the heartstrings. It’s a romantic short that has found success after being released on Apply TV+. A long-term deal between Skydance Animation and Apple TV+ includes a wide range of projects, including full-length films.

Luck

As the first full-length film from the animation studio, Luck was released to acclaim from audiences. The movie, like other content from Skydance Animation, is intended for general audiences of every age. In this tale, a young girl has terrible luck and loses a lucky penny that could have changed it. She travels with a magical cat to the Land of Luck to find a new lucky penny and to help a friend with good luck. Like all Skydance stories, it’s an original tale that comes right from the creative minds of the studio.

Spellbound

The newest offering from the studio is another original tale that uses some of today’s biggest stars as its voice actors. Spellbound is also a musical, bringing many original songs – and its own score – to audiences. Alan Menken, the winner of two Academy Awards, comprised the score, and the lyrics were created by Glenn Slater. John Lasseter is one of Spellbound’s producers. The voice actors include Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, John Lithgow, Rachel Zegler, and Nathan Lane. Skydance Animation worked with Apple Original Films to create the soon-to-be classic.

The story centres on the royal family of the land of Lumbria and the spell that was cast on the land. This spell caused the kingdom to fracture into two, and the royal family spends the film seeking to break that spell and return the land to the way it was. The king, queen, and Princess Ellian embark on a journey to discover the way to break the spell, and they consult with oracles to try to restore the kingdom as well as her family. The story is a tale that is meant to touch the heart as well as to keep audiences engrossed in its exciting tale. There will be toys on the market that are based on this musical.
