TV SHOWS RELEASING NEW SEASONS THIS MONTH
With January being the month of new beginnings, let’s not forget about our favourites from the past. Here are some TV shows coming back with enticing new seasons this month. From horrors to musicals to sitcoms and drama, there’s something new for all of you!
SUITS
Harvey Specter and Mike Ross return this month with some edgy clients. After working for an investment banker, Mike returns to Pearson Hardman at the end of season 4. Louis Litt threatens to expose Mike and put the firm in jeopardy. The new season will unfold with a chain of events where Harvey will hopefully save Mike again.

THE AMERICANS
This show is simultaneously a family drama and a historic show. A couple who are undercover Soviet agents and are posing as an American family; this show is set during the cold war. It’s created by a former CIA officer and has a lot of narratives that are based on true stories. An interesting amalgamation of personal and dangerous professional life, it makes for an intense and compelling watch.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY
With ghosts and gory murder, this is the perfect show for the adrenaline junky. There’s a new story line every season, so you are guaranteed no repetition or boredom, with the over-arching theme consistent. There is also the recurring character of Jessica Lange, a strong, intimidating badass!

DOWNTOWN ABBEY
It is a British period drama set in the fictional Yorkshire country estate of Downton Abbey. This show follows the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants through historic events like sinking of the Titanic, the First World War, the Teapot Dome scandal, the Spanish influenza pandemic and the formation of the Irish Free State.

PARKS AND RECREATION
Amy Poehler is the rib-tickling and perfect protagonist working as a city bureaucrat, this show being a comedy shot in the style of a documentary. It follows by current events, incorporating them into their seasons. It is the rare combination of politics and satire at the same time; a light and entertaining watch.
We’re waiting for: Season 7
GLEE
This American musical comedy-drama is set in the fictitious William McKinley High School. It focuses on the new directions and choir competitions of the glee club whose members deal with relationships, sexuality and social issues while trying to work together. Matthew Morrison has put up a stunning performance.
