END OF STORY? BY ARJUN SHEKHAR
Arjun Shekhar’s second novel is an exploration of the corruption that exists in the media-big business nexus. Through the lead Shukrat Ali, an anchor at Khulasa channel, Shekhar looks at the power advertising has over media content and how a loss of that influence topples businesses. It’s a competent enough plot for a thriller but the writing bogs down the reading experience. Clunky dialogue that isn’t in line with character personalities is the biggest drawback. However, the humour keeps you fairly interested.
