Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB) is India’s first digital University, is a self-financing institution imparting professional and technical education. The university all set to host the XUB Business Conclaves 2018, which is a series of business conferences hosted by five different management schools belonging to XUB.
This event will take place on 5th August 2018. Following this, will be SAMAVESH-organised by HabituX-The Urban Management and Governance Association. This conclave will discuss over the theme of “Complex Cities – Managing Urban Challenges”, on 10thAugust 2018. Future research should focus on specific places and communities, combining both connectivity and inclusion issues.
Since the introduction of the internet to the consumer market, researchers from various disciplines have shown interest in the causes and consequences of this urban-rural divide, resulting in a large and growing body of literature. Therefore, this crucial discussion will ensue on 19th August 2018 during ABHIVYAKTI, which is organized by the Rural Managers Association of Xavier School of Rural Management. The theme of this discussion will be “Rural Business Impact in Digital Era”. KSHITIJ-conducted by XIMAHR, The HR Association of Xavier School of Human Resource Management, will elaborate on the paramount topic “Agile HR”, a panel discussion, wherein three industry veterans will present their views and understanding, on 26th August 2018. PARIVARTAN- organised by ConXerv, Committee for Xavier School of Sustainability will intricate on the theme of “Sustainability: Investment or Financial Liability”, on 31stAugust 2018.
The conferences will witness the participation of XUB alumni, as well as industry stalwarts, and will be attended by the post-graduate management students of XUB. Some of the industry veterans attending the conclaves include Mr. Susanta Sharma, (Head – Global Alliance- Smart Cities, TATA Projects),CA Shomdip Ghosh (Darashaw), Mr. Kamlesh Yagnik (Chief Resilience Office, 100 Resilient Cities, Surat), and Mr. Naveen Goel (Vice President & Country Head – Supply Chain Finance), amongst others.
