BJP promised to provide a free COVID vaccine under their manifesto for Bihar election. They said that once the mass production of the vaccine starts it will be given free of cost for the people in Bihar. Many opposition parties raised their voices against this statement and asked the central government about what would happen to non- BJP states?, will not all Indians get the vaccine if they don’t vote for BJP? and this ultimately created a political storm. 

Ban on 4G extended in Jammu and Kashmir by gov except in 2 districts

The government of Jammu and Kashmir extended the ban on high-speed 4G internet services till November 12 except in two districts, Ganderbal and Udhampur. The government added that internet services will be available in 2G only in the rest of the districts. Only post-paid and verified pre-paid SIM cards can avail of internet services in Jammu and Kashmir.

Former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan said on Wednesday, “If India does not create jobs then youth will come to streets’’. Raghuram added, “young people without jobs can be diverted to this and that for a little while, we can use social media, fake news to divert things but eventually, it is going to fail’’.

WHO said in a statement to Reuters, ‘Risk of spreading Covid-19 on flights is ‘very low’, not zero’. We must not ignore the fact that Covid is not over yet and one should take all the necessary precautions, ”The fact that transmission is not widely documented in the published literature does not, however, mean it does not happen”, said WHO.  

Increased the number of MBBS seats in west Bengal: Mamta Banerjee

Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has announced that the number of MBBS program seats has been increased to 4000 in West Bengal. Banerjee in her tweet said, ‘’the initiation of the first MBBS batch in Purulia Government Medical college and Hospital consisting of 100 seats’’. 150 seats have been added to Gouri Devi Medical college in Durgapur, She further wrote in the tweet.
