Modify these Lifestyle Factors to Increase your Fertility

Fertility is a spectrum that has to be visited with careful steps if you’re looking to get pregnant. It is a woman’s ability to be able to conceive a child. There are some factors that might be beyond your control like Polycystic Ovary Disorder, Hyperprolactinemia, thyroid problems, etc. that might affect your ability to conceive. But you can control your lifestyle choices that could have an effect on your fertility.

Here’s what you need to know to protect your fertility.

Maintain a Healthy Weight

Being overweight or underweight can hinder ovulation from taking place. Women with a body mass index of 18.5 or below are officially classified as underweight. It may produce lower levels of estrogen with either irregular or no periods.

Avoid The Night Shift

If you’re a regular on the night shift, it’s time to change it. There’s a high risk of infertility as night shifts affect the production of hormones. Getting a good night’s sleep is essential to having good fertility.

Minimize Stress

It’s important to stay relaxed in a stress-induced environment. Using guided meditation can help you ease up and monitor your stress levels.

Stop Smoking

It’s common knowledge that the use of Tobacco is injurious to health. But when it comes to fertility, it ages the eggs and depletes them prematurely. It also reduces the sperm count of men. To get rid of the habit, ask a healthcare provider to help you quit.

Limit Your Alcohol Intake

Sometimes ovulation disorders can be the result of heavy drinking. It is recommended to stay away from alcohol during conception and the term of pregnancy because a safe level of fetal alcohol consumption hasn’t yet been proven.

Control Caffeine

Who doesn’t love a good cup of coffee? But exceeding the 200 milligrams/ day limit is a good idea to keep a check on fertility.

Be Aware of Over Exercise

Staying fit is a separate thing but being vigorous with your workouts can prevent ovulation and reduce progesterone. Men might also indicate abnormal sperm results if they perform high-intensity sports.

Wear Comfortable Clothing

Though it is not proven that wearing tight lycra pants or shorts hinder conception for men, it is always advisable to keep the testes cool to achieve normal sperm creation.

With the help of these tips, people can make modifications to their lifestyle to increase their natural fertility. As soon as these changes are taken into consideration, the effects of treatments for fertility disorders could work better.
