FLAME Kurukshetra 2015 returns: Welcome to the Battlefield

Promising more events, more colleges, greater sportsmanship, and an unforgettable experience, FLAME Kurukshetra 2015 is back with a bang!

FLAME Kurukshetra is the inter-college sports extravaganza that is organised by the students of Foundation for Liberal and Management Education, Pune. Since its inception in 2009, the fest has only grown bigger and better with every passing year. The unrelenting hard work, the unmatched skill and the unstoppable determination that goes into it makes it, undoubtedly, one of the greatest sports fests in the country with over 125 participating colleges.

Last year’s edition of FLAME Kurukshetra saw a crowd of over 6000 passionate participants over the course of the festival and hosted an exhilarating pro-show concert by Indian Ocean. FLAME Kurukshetra sees sports as a universal platform to spread support and goodwill, and, abiding by this belief, FLAME Kurukshetra 2014 partnered with Magic Bus and gathered funds to contribute towards the NGO’s cause.

This year, FLAME Kurukshetra 2015, in association with Embassy Group, will be held between the 8th and 11th of January 2015, at FLAME’s sprawling campus grounds. Registrations for football, basketball, swimming, cricket, volleyball, badminton, chess, snooker, tennis, and table tennis are now open on the FLAME Kurukshetra website (www.flamekurukshetra.com). Taking into account the success and magnitude of Kurukshetra 2014, this year, junior colleges have also been invited to participate in this phenomenal event.

Apart from the sports, informal events such as Battle of the Bands, B-Boying, Freestyle Football and War of DJs shall also take place. On 29th November, a Coke Studio concert featuring Papon and Agnee was showcased at FLAME as an opening act for FLAME Kurukshetra 2015. A crowd of over 8000 spectators, seated beneath a blend of stars and glittering lights, were held in rapture by the melodious, energetic and soulful tunes. Living up to the hype, preparations for the upcoming pro-show concert have already begun, and the artists shall be announced soon.

So take a deep breath, put on your sports gear, and prepare for combat!

Welcome to the Battlefield.
