IIT Bombay’s E-cell, Asia’s largest entrepreneurship-promoting body, is set to host their 15th E-Summit- a two-day event that brings budding startups, students, investors and entrepreneurs together. E-Summit 2020: A Brio Breakthrough, sets out to champion budding startups and entrepreneurs who’ve refused the routine and achieved breakthroughs. With an electric environment filled with energetic individuals, they aim to accelerate ideas through the stratosphere. Because they know that great ideas are hard to come by!
This year, E-Summit is scheduled for the first weekend of February, i.e., 1st-2nd February. It is the place where renowned speakers, entrepreneurs & the entire startup ecosystem of India will converge. The previous editions of E-Summit have been graced by eminent personalities like Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, Former Chairman of SBI Arundhati Bhattacharya, Mr. Niranjan Hiranandani, patriarch of the Hiranandani clan, VP of Netflix Michael Spiegelman, India TV Chairman Rajat Sharma, among the few renowned names.

In the premiere edition of the RnD Conclave, we already have Prof. Sebastian Peter, Co-Founder, Breathed Applied Sciences & Prof. Ramakrishnan Angarai, Co-Founder, RaGaVeRa Indic Technologies here to demonstrate their research. The aim of the event is the commercialisation of research, & how RnD drives the transformation and growth of large companies.

Another major highlight is ‘The Ten minute million Challenge’. The shortlisted startups will get a chance to make a 10-minute pitch in front of a panel of India’s best angel investors, which will be followed by an on-the-spot decision on financial backing; the unique feature here is that all the selected startups have a chance to secure backing of Rs 16 lakh each.
