Now E Gamers Can Learn Gaming As Professional Degree Course

To all the e gamers out there, here’s a great news for you all. Now, the games which you played earlier for passing time can actually grant you a professional University degree. Yes, you read it right. Some of the selected universities in the United States and the United Kingdom, considering the boom in the live streaming platforms have started providing a legit degree in esports.

The University of Staffordshire in UK and Becker College In Massachusetts are two of the many colleges. The former introduced the program in the previous year and is planning for its expansion in its London schools by this autumn. Other universities such as Britain’s Chichester University, Virginia’s Shenandoah University, and the Ohio state university are also looking forward to introducing this revolutionary program.

The degree like any other academic course has two levels, bachelor’s and masters in which the students are mainly taught about marketing and management skills essential for the gaming industry. The students are introduced to the subject via a first-person shooter video game which they are asked to use as a medium to test and refine their gaming intellect. Sounds so cool, isn’t it?

Looking at the massive interests of today’s youth associated with these virtual reality games, the global e-sports market is expected to rise to $1.1 billion this year thus making it one of the best career choices.
It is believed that the gaming competitions such as the Free Fire India Today League and such others, played a very important role in pushing the interests of the adolescents towards these virtual reality platforms.

Ryan Chapman, a student of esports and also an e gamer said his parents were “skeptical at first about studying esports or competitive multiplayer video gaming, but now they understand how big the industry is growing, and the pace at which its growing. They’re now really all for it because it’s a great industry to start to get into.” Said Chapman.

Gaming challenges and competitions have now become common cultural phenomena among the e gamers. Big esports challenges are held at colossal arenas where thousands of spectators watch professional video gamers compete for lavish awards and prizes.
