A Simple Guide To Face Failure Successfully

“No great success was ever achieved without failure”

Whether we like it or not, failure is a necessary stepping stone for achieving your goals. Having just failed at something, it’s important that you don’t get down on yourself by lodging foolishly at the guilt or disappointment you are now feeling as a result of this outcome. The best way to take your mind off the failure is to immediately take action to it.

First of all, accept what happened and how you feel. Just try to let it in, it might hurt and fret you but this is better than rejecting it all the way. By accepting it, you will understand it better and it will help you in the long run. If you prefer to cast it off, you will face problems in the future and will not be able to comprehend.

After a letdown, it’s very typical and easy to feel negative about your own self. Remember to not call yourself a failure after the setback because it’s not necessary that you will always fail in this area. Remind yourself that this isn’t going to be with you for the rest of your life and if you’ve made a blunder once, you wouldn’t do it again and again. The failure is a part of achieving goals. Edison’s 10,000 attempts to create the light bulb or Dyson’s 5,126 attempts to invent a bag-less vacuum cleaner proves the same.

It’s very sensible and practical to learn from your set back and to be constructive from this situation. You can always call it as your feedback and something you can use to improvise yourself in the future. You can ask yourself several questions like what can I learn from this? How can I not make the same mistake next time? And take quality time to answer them.

You must start thinking about situations from a different angle and be constructive about things instead of getting stuck in denial or negativity and apathy. Reading and getting inspired by someone else’s success story will just motivate you and show you the reality and how the bright side is achieved after several downfalls. One downfall cannot decide your success.

Michael Jordan said “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Tapping into the enthusiasm or motivation of someone else by listening to a podcast or audiobook for maybe 30-60 minutes or by talking to someone close will help you quite a bit. This might help you to shift your mood and mindset back towards confidence again. Now moving on and not mulling back on this situation will be the only step to overcome your failure. Taking action and planning what to do next can sometimes just be a way to rise up because you fear to fail again or because it is difficult to rise up once again after this rough thing that you experienced.

The last thing that is required is to improve your self-esteem and morale. Remember that you are not a failure and everyone faces a downfall in their lives.
