The heightening workplace anxiety and pressures are capable of bogging down even the strongest of individuals. At a time wherein all this seems nothing but alarming, Deloitte’s news of offering 16 weeks of paid leave to their employees comes as a breath of fresh air.

The 16 weeks of paid leave includes maternity leave, paternity leave, elder care and aid for partners or family members. A spokesperson from the company when speaking to the Wall Street Journal explained that the new policy is just the company’s way of realizing that care-giving shouldn’t be limited to just new parents.

While companies in the West have realized the importance of keeping their employees happy, Indian companies are still to follow suit. The policy of workplace retaliation can add up to an employee’s experience contributing as a big motivator and making him give in everything to his job. Apart from Deloitte, these companies also give some excellent perks to their employees. They will give you some serious #workplacegoals.

Much-needed time off

Computer software company Adobe offers their employees much-needed downtime by shutting down the entire US office for one week during the holidays and the summer. Employees also rave about the ample opportunities for paid time off. Adobe recently announced that through the combination of medical and parental beave, new birth mothers will receive up to 26 weeks of paid time off beginning November 1, 2015.

Combining work and leisure

Google has incredible offices around the world, where they offer gourmet meals to employees, a generous parental leave policy, and even “death benefits,” among other things.The company’s Mountain View headquarters in California have a gym, a bowling alley, a game room, and basketball courts. There’s also a barber shop, a massage parlor, and a laundromat on site.

Employee wellness taken seriously

The communication app company Asana caters to employees’ well-being by providing them with access to life coaching outside of the company. They also give employees a generous fixed budget to build the office desk and computer setup of their dreams.

Making workplace feel like home

Facebook is known for its incredible perks like its great parental leave policy, beautiful offices, and gourmet meals. But employees say Facebook also provides them with a more unique perks: The company gifts workers with Facebook ad credits to donate to the charity or cause of their choice, according to employees who reviewed the social media giant on Glassdoor.

Feeding the wanderlust genes

The personal home-renting service Airbnb provides employees with a $2,000 annual stipend to travel anywhere in the world. Employees also mention a dog-friendly office and “three healthy, organic meals a day, plus snacks” as perks they enjoy.
