The pure unadulterated desire to win, heartbeats racing, waiting for a break in their defence. The crowd breathless in anticipation of the next goal. The cheers and disappointed roars of the audience at every move. The thrill of the game.
Sounds familiar? Team Entourage’s pre-event, ENTOURAGE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2016, was all about this
With a total of 18 teams contending for the EFC cup, the atmosphere was crackling with energy and enthusiasm. The top colleges of Mumbai – HR, NM, KC, Mithibai, Lala Lajpat Rai, Swami Vivekananda, Raheja, Rithambara, and Pillai College battled it out on the field – all to win the EFC cup.
HR College emerged victorious as the winners of EFC ’16, with NM College at second place.
With food and dessert stalls present at the arena of Gokul Bite, Paleteria Ice Cream, and Love Sugar Dough, along with a free supply of RedBull for the participants, the event was truly a hit.
It was an exciting day for both, participating colleges, as well as Team Entourage and every participant and member went back home fully satisfied and happy.
It is events such as these that contribute to the development of football in India at the macro-level. Promoting the sport and supporting players that play it helps its standing nationally, and this was one of Team Entourages aims while coming up with this event.
EFC ’16 took place at the Hotfut Arena Turf, Khar, on the 18th of September, 2016. They say football isn’t just a game, it’s a way of life. And we got to see it live.
