The Dating Types You Must Date Atleast Once In Life

Dating is taxing but it is one of those things that help build your character. Some people give you happy memories while some are just bad ideas to begin with. Pooja Salvi reveals which dates help make you a better person

THE SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICT

We all have that one friend who tweets every event of their life, Instagram every meal they have, constantly updates their relationship status and makes sure the internet knows everything about them.

Why should I date them?
You might feel uncomfortable about the 987654321 billion internet users who are privy to your life; unless you like that kind of attention.

THE CHEESILY ROMANTIC

They get mushy whenever they see you. They want everything to be ‘lovey-dovey’. They want to live in fantasy land, and not to forget, they quote dialogues from Bollywood movies.

Why should I date them?
Experience the clichéd romance of the Mills & Boons books or your favorite Yash Raj film. Who knows? Maybe this kind is your type.

THE OPPOSITE KIND

No, we are not propagating the ‘opposites attract’ theory. If you are a shy person, go out with an extrovert. And if you are an extrovert try dating an introvert.

Why should I date them?
You’ll know to be around people with a completely different personality type. And don’t think it’ll be boring or difficult. Just go with the flow.

THE HIPSTER

Hipsters are people who think out-of-the-box and have absolutely no interest in being on the same page as you and me. They have an itch to save Mother Nature (that’s a good thing). And they will never have coffee; 100% organic tea is their preference.

Why should I date them?
You’ll be introduced to an alternate lifestyle; you’ll soon realize they get a bad reputation for no reason.

THE PARTY ANIMAL

The beasts of the night – no, not vampires. They are always looking for new ways to party. They love socializing which is why you’ll always find them partying with a totally different group of people.

Why should I date them?
Even though their idea of fun and yours could be different, you’ll still come across a different world of thumping music, dance moves and new people.

THE FEMINIST

Firstly, feminists don’t hate men nor do they think all men are rapists. They simply believe in gender equality. Also, a feminist is a gender-neutral noun. Anyone can be a feminist, male or female.

Why should I date them?
Dating a feminist is never a bad idea. Date them to learn how to treat people for who they are and what they make of themselves instead of their sex.

THE FOOD LOVER

They know every new restaurant that has opened in town and every new type of tea brewed by that café downtown.

Why should I date them?
Dating foodie is very advantageous. You will learn a lot about food and fall in love with cuisines you’ve never heard of.

THE TRAVEL ENTHUSIAST

This person is all about the beauty of places and meeting new people. They are brimming with experiences and excitement of visiting uncharted territories.

Why should I date them?
They’re very cheerful people who believe in making the most of the moment. Trust us, they are worth a shot.

THE READER

Their brains are huge. They read almost anything and everything they can get their hands on. They have great knowledge of many things.

Why should I date them?
Dating a reader will involve hour-long conversations about literature, politics, history, controversies, food, and whatnot. Don’t think of them as boring already; they’re quality people.

THE BROKE

The people who are always on a budget. No, we are not financially discriminating against these folks. You might think that being on a budget is a bad thing, but these people are very smart.

Why should I date them?
They know how to make every rupee count. They’ll teach you the hacks of having fun on a budget. But make sure you know if your date is actually clever or just being a miser.

THEN THERE ARE PEOPLE YOU SHOULD NEVER DATE!

* The gold digger
Remember – a stable bank balance is more satisfying. Don’t blow that up for this kind.

* The commitment-phobic

This is a confused personality. They’re only full of words and are probably just playing around with you.

* The one who treats you like sh*t
Don’t even think about this one. Unless you have some major self- esteem issues.

* The workaholic
No different from those who treat you like sh*t. Again, don’t.

* The I-am-so-much-more-smarter-than-you-are
They will constantly put you down and underestimate everything you do because they believe only they can do things correctly. Let this one go.

There are many more kinds you will surely come across. Pick those who best suits you. Sure, be lovesick but don’t be blinded by love. Pick wisely! Always!
