Conquer 2025: Mukesh Patel School of Technology, Management and Engineering’s Premier Sports Festival

Conquer, the flagship sports festival of Mukesh Patel School of Technology, Management and Engineering (MPSTME), has solidified its reputation as one of Mumbai’s most prestigious sports festivals. True to its name, Conquer continues to dominate the sports entertainment landscape, bringing together athletes and enthusiasts for a grand celebration of competitive spirit and sportsmanship.

Despite challenges such as the absence of a football ground on campus, the MPSTME Sports Committee has demonstrated remarkable resilience and innovation, successfully organizing an 11v11 Football tournament and a leather ball Cricket tournament—an achievement that sets Conquer apart from other college sports events.

This year, Conquer expands its reach across Mumbai, with competitions taking place from March 10th to March 26th, 2025. What began as a five-sport event now welcomes Lawn Tennis and Athletics into its roster, joining Cricket, Football, Table Tennis, Badminton, and Basketball.

A Multi-Venue Sports Extravaganza

The festival will take place across multiple iconic venues in Mumbai:

Cricket: The prestigious Oval Maidan will host matches on March 10th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 20th, and 21st, culminating in a grand finale at the renowned Air India Ground on March 26th. Sixteen teams, each comprising 11 players and 5 substitutes, will battle for supremacy.

Football: Held at Goans on March 15th, 16th, and 19th, the tournament will witness full squads (11+5) competing fiercely for a spot in the finals, scheduled for March 25th at the Jamnabai Narsee Football Ground.

Basketball: Both Men’s and Women’s categories will take place at Maniac Sportz and Fitness, Malad, on March 19th and 20th, bringing together some of the best collegiate basketball talents in the city.

Lawn Tennis: The newly introduced sport will be held at Leo Tennis Academy on March 15th and 16th, featuring Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, and an Open Category.

Table Tennis: MPSTME Seminar Hall will be the battleground for intense Table Tennis matches on March 13th and 15th.

Badminton: The Andheri Sports Club will host high-energy Badminton competitions on March 22nd and 24th, promising thrilling action for both participants and spectators.

Athletics: Newly introduced to Conquer, Athletics will feature events including 100m, 200m, 800m, Shot Put, Long Jump, and the 4x100m Relay. These competitions will take place on March 13th at SAI Ground, Kandivali, adding an exciting dimension to the festival.

A Festival Beyond Competition

With over 6000 athletes set to participate, Conquer 2025 aims to not only provide a platform for competition but also to foster inclusivity, with a significant push to increase female participation. Additionally, the event boasts a prize pool exceeding Rs. 1 Lakh, elevating it beyond a conventional college sports festival into a major sporting spectacle.

As the countdown begins, anticipation builds for what promises to be a festival of grit, passion, and excellence. Conquer 2025 is all set to leave its mark once again, reinforcing its status as a force to be reckoned with in the collegiate sports domain.
