THE BOX OFFICE OF MITHIBAI’S PAPARAZZI, A BLOCKBUSTER!

Amongst the loud echoes of a cheering crowd, a surge of emotions arose as Paparazzi’17: The Oracle’s Box Office came to an end. Mithibai college’s Mass Media department organised their annual media festival on 29th and 30th November. 15 colleges in Mumbai participated full-fledged with more than five thousand students. 17 events were orchestrated by the team of Paparazzi in the 5th edition of their festival.

The theme, titled The Oracle’s Box Office in which famous Bollywood characters led Hollywood troops. The team has been working for five months to make the festival a success. Judges that were experienced and well-known in their respective fields evaluated the performances – Rajit Kapoor, Zoya Afroz, Abhishek Sengupta,  and Rajeev Goswami analysed the participants performing in various events.

“Paparazzi creates the foundation for the students and motivates them to value team spirit and develop their skills in the area of their interests. Paparazzi’17 inspired from the previous editions has made progress and shall inspire much more to come,” said Dr.Rajpal Shripat Hande, Principal of Mithibai college.

As the festival came to a close, winners were announced, with RDexpendables being the 2nd runner-up and KattapBee as the 1st runner-up. ToyDas emerged the winners.

Paparazzi has been conducting various events prior to the festival. The Pink Whale Initiative was carried out by the Team in order to spread happiness and curb the consequences of The Blue Whale Challenge. Known for the quirky themes and interesting events, Paparazzi which was initiated in the year of 2013, has been consistent and growing. Since its inception, it has become one of the most celebrated media festivals amongst colleges in Mumbai. With more than 15 colleges participating, the footfall keeps getting bigger and better each year.
