Perhaps the most entertaining water sport of all time, Scuba Diving is about a lot more than just diving into the seas (not that just diving isn’t an exhilarating experience in itself). Scuba Diving also offers us a way to discover the life of the mysterious underwater species. A scuba diver uses a Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA) to breathe underwater as he explores the depths of the sea. But unlike other modes of diving, which rely either on breath-hold or on breathing gas pumped from the surface, scuba divers carry their own source of breathing gas, which is usually compressed air. To move around underwater, a scuba diver primarily uses fins, which are attached to the feet. In a nutshell, scuba diving gives you the experience of walking and discovering new territories, only, underwater.
HOW DID SCUBA DIVING ORIGINATE?
Scuba diving has been a part of our social experiences since the early twentieth century. Two basic systems for the scuba apparatus had emerged by then; the open circuit scuba, where the diver’s exhaled breath is vented directly into the water, and closed-circuit scuba, where the carbon dioxide is removed from the diver’s exhaled breath. Oxygen is added to the system and then re-circulated.
WHERE IS IT AVAILABLE IN INDIA?
India is home to many amazing scuba diving sites and if you are planning a trip to one of these places you must definitely visit their diving locations too. So, if you are looking for a whole new experience filled with fun and thrill, you better start making plans to visit these destinations.
ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLANDS

It is also home to Infiniti live-aboard, a unique superyacht that offers a super exclusive full-service cruising and diving yacht experience.
Founded by Sunil and Vismaya Bakshi, The Infiniti also has a PADI Open Water diver course which teaches people to become certified scubadivers. It is a special qualification that is accepted worldwide and is valid for life. The course is a fairly intensive learning experience including knowledge development, a final exam, intensive training in confined water and then a minimum of four dives in the open sea. The knowledge development focuses on science of diving, there’s a lot of theory such as physics, chemistry & biology. Then all this theory is applied in a scientific manner for exploring the ocean which is essentially an unnatural environment for humans to be in. The most important thing about this course is that the learning involved in becoming a certified scuba diver is recognized by many universities around the world officially. You can also list the PADI courses in your CV, as they are eligible for college credit. Students can actually get some college credit for learning diving and then progressing through the various levels.
