PICTOFEST’25: A Vibrant Celebration of Creativity and Expression!

After the grand success of Pictofest’24, Pictoreal, the arts and cultural club of Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) is thrilled to announce PICTOFEST’25! A colourful break from the grind of intense study routines, this exciting event offers a fantastic opportunity for art and photography lovers to showcase their skills and compete for amazing prizes!

The event encompasses a wide range of activities. The main attraction of PICTOFEST is ‘PICS-O-REEL’ – an Art & Photography exhibition-cum-competition accepting entries from students as well as faculty members across categories like painting/sketching, photography, and digital art and craft items. Entries in any form relating to this year’s theme, ‘Fragments of Time’ will be accepted under the theme category. The entries collected will be exhibited at the PICT campus on the 20^th, 21^st and 22^nd of February for everyone to gaze at. The winners from each category will be decided through an anonymous voting process which will be powered by the club’s online voting system built by the members of the Pictoreal Tech team.

Enhance your design skills while competing against the best in a Figma-powered UI/UX challenge at the Figma Wave contest. In the next event, Coastal Crimes, teams unravel a web of deception, interrogate suspects, and unmask the culprit. Dive into the gripping world of a Murder Mystery where every clue matters! Public speaking is more than just a skill—it’s a pathway to confidence, success, and impact. At Manthan, we celebrate the art of speaking with dynamic rounds designed to challenge and inspire. Last but not least, the Horizon Hunt is a thrilling treasure hunt that will take you across the campus of PICT, testing your problem-solving skills and teamwork.

Workshops:

As part of Pictofest’25, we’re thrilled to offer a variety of hands-on workshops that will ignite your creativity and allow you to explore new artistic skills. Whether you’re into crafting, pottery, or experimenting with different painting techniques, there’s something for everyone!

First up, we have Craft Your Moon, a 2D Moon Lamp Workshop where you can bring the enchantment of the moon to life. This workshop is perfect for all skill levels, where you’ll craft a glowing moon lamp using easy DIY techniques. All materials are provided, and no experience is required! However, seats are limited, so make sure to register early as spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Next, join us for Play with Clay, a pottery workshop designed to help you explore your artistic side with hands-on experience in shaping clay. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this activity will be both relaxing and enjoyable.

Finally, we’re hosting Texture Art + Neon Fluid Painting, where you’ll create stunning tactile designs using texture paste and vibrant neon paints. This workshop is perfect for art enthusiasts looking to experiment with different layering techniques and bring their visions to life on canvas. Materials will be provided, and we encourage individuals to register early as there are limited seats.
