PM Modi inaugurates India’s 1st driverless train on Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today, inaugurated the country’s first driverless train on Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line. The Prime Minister also launched the fully operational National Common Mobility Card on the Airport Express Line of Delhi Metro. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal through video conferencing.

UP CM Adityanath: Sikh gurus’ history will be included in school syllabus

The Chief  Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has announced that state schools’ curriculum will now include the history of Sikh gurus. Yogi Adityanath said this on the occasion of Sahibzada Diwas at a Gurbani Kirtan which was hosted at his residence. “Apart from this, December 27 will be celebrated every year as Sahibzada Diwas in all schools,” the CM added.

Union minister Nitin Gadkari says Tesla’s operation in India will begin in early 2021

 Nitin Gadkari,  the Union Transport and Highways Minister of India informed The Indian Express that billionaire and CEO of Tesla, an electric vehicle company, will soon begin its operations in India in early 2021. He also added that Tesla will start operations initially with sales and then venture into assembly and manufacturing. Certain reports also mention that the company will also be launching Model 3 in India by June 2021.

Famous sexpert and Mumbai Mirror columnist, Dr. Mahinder Watsa passes away at 96

 Dr. Mahinder Watsa, a renowned sexpert passed away today morning at the age of 96. He was well-known for his sexual health column titled ‘Ask the Sexpert’ in the tabloid Mumbai Mirror. “Dad was a man of many dimensions. Today, we would like to celebrate his life as he has passed on to join his beloved Promila,” his family commented.

Virat Kohli awarded the ICC Male Cricketer of the Decade Award

Virat Kohli, cricketer and Indian team captain has bagged the Sir Garfield Sobers Award for ICC Male Cricketer of the Decade. The cricketer successfully scored 20,396 runs during the period, a highest for any batsman. In addition to this, Virat has also scored the most hundreds (66) and most fifties (94) during the last decade. Besides this award, the captain has also won the Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Decade award.

Roger Federer withdraws from Australian Open 2021

Due to his recovery period of a knee operation that was performed in 2020, Roger Federer will be unable to play for the Australian Open, for the first time in his career. “In the end, Roger ran out of time to get himself ready for the rigors of a Grand Slam,” his agent and the chief of the tournament confirmed. 

Governor of Kerala grants his assent to Assembly session on the new farm laws

Governor of Kerala, Arif Mohammed Khan has given his assent for conducting a special session of the Assembly to discuss the center’s new farm laws on December 31. The Kerala state government aims to discuss and pass a resolution opposing the three farm laws in this session. 

Centre to hold another round of talks with the protesting farmers on December 30, says “’Will find logical solution”

The union government has now invited 40 protesting farmer unions for another round of talks on December 30 to churn out a “logical solution” to the current deadlock between the two sides over the farm laws. The Agriculture Secretary Sanjay Aggarwal has invited the unions for discussion at 2 pm on Wednesday at Vigyan Bhavan inDelhi. The last formal meeting between the two took place on December 5.

The total number of COVID-19 infections in the world currently stands at 80.7 million, while the deaths have jumped beyond 1.76 million, a report by the Johns Hopkins University mentioned.
