Common Law Admission Test ( CLAT ) conducted by the Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities, has postponed the examinations to September 28, given the escalating COVID-19 cases. CLAT is an entrance examination that students take to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate law courses offered by 22 National Law Universities. The exam was earlier scheduled to be conducted on September 7.
After the Supreme Court ruled that universities cannot promote students without holding final year exams, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Education Minister of India said that politics should be kept away from education. “Let’s keep politics away from education…educate our politics,” the minister tweeted.

AstroSat, India’s multi-wavelength orbiting telescope, has detected light from a galaxy, called AUDFs01, in the extreme-ultraviolet (UV) light. The galaxy scientists say, is 9.3 billion light-years away from Earth. This rare discovery was a fruit of international collaboration by astronomers from countries that include India, Switzerland, France, the USA, Japan, and the Netherlands. This discovery was led by Dr. Kanak Saha, associate professor of astronomy at the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune.
Musk’s neuroscience startup Neuralink revealed a pig with a coin-sized computer chip in its brain. Co-founded by Elon Musk in the year 2016, the startup named Neuralink is working towards implanting wireless brain-computer interfaces in humans to help cure neurological conditions. A flying car was recently put to test by a Japanese firm earlier this week with one person on board. The aircraft flew several feet off the ground and took a flight around the field for about four minutes. “The aircraft has been designed to be the world’s smallest electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) model,” the firm said in a statement.
