4 Indian Cities Chosen by WEF to “Pioneer roadmap” for Smart Cities

Bengaluru, Faridabad, Indore and Hyderabad have decided with 36 cities internationally which have agreed to pioneer a roadmap for safety adoption in the G20 International Good Cities Alliance. The World Financial Discussion board (WEF) said COVID-19 is stimulating the adoption of modern applied sciences by cities as Authorities grapple to handle the rising pandemic with constrained assets.

12 civilians injured as terrorists lob Grenade at security personnel in Pulwama

As many as 12 civilians remained wounded after terrorists threw a grenade at security forces in the Kakapora Area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama area on Wednesday. Police stated that terrorists attempted to target security forces deployment. However, the grenade missed the point and exploded on the street causing damages.

71% Indians boycotted Made in China Product this Diwali

Regarding the request to avoid China from several quarters, Indian customers have often stayed aside from buying China-made commodities this celebratory winter. As per Local Circle’s survey, 71% of local consumers chose to not purchase goods that carried a ‘Made in China’ tag. Barely 29 per cent of respondents obtained Chinese stocks this year which is a 19% drop related to the purchases initiated last year. 

Twitter issues a written apology for showing Ladakh as part of China.

Social networking site Twitter has confessed in writing to a parliamentary committee for incorrectly showing Ladakh in China and has promised to rectify the flaw by the month-end. In the previous month, the Joint Committee of Parliament on Data Protection Bill had condemned Twitter for displaying Ladakh as a portion of China.

11 AK-47 recovered, terrorists were planning something big: J&K Police

Vaccine specialist Gagandeep Kang has stated, Oxford University’s COVID-19 vaccine might be a more suitable fit for India than the ones produced by Pfizer or Moderna. Further added, India doesn’t have ultra-cold accommodation amenities to stock and transport Pfizer’s vaccine at -70 to -80°C. Moderna’s vaccine at its current price of $32-37 per dose is expensive for Indians to buy.

Saudi Arabia and Iraq reopen Ara borders crossing after 30 years
