Building LIFE, Giving HOPE – UNDP

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Humanitarian Affairs UK are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for young leaders wishing to advance their leadership skills and knowledge in an international setting. Seven outstanding Young Leaders are being seek from the Youth Incorporated to attend the prestigious 8thedition of the University Scholars Leadership Symposium 2017 from August 1st to 7th at the United Nations in Bangkok, Thailand.
The theme of the Symposium is “Building LIFE, Giving HOPE”. We are expecting about 1,000 emerging world leaders from the United Nations Member States to participate in this event which focuses on developing leaders to bring social change.
As the UN’s development agency, UNDP plays a critical role in helping countries achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Indeed, they will lead the five thematic workshop discussions which will focus on five of the SDGs:
No poverty
– Quality education
– Gender equality
– Clean water and Sanitation
– Climate action
The USLS is a week-long Leadership Conference in Social Development for young leaders from all over the world. The purpose is to instil a sense of social responsibility as well as to cultivate the attributes of selfless giving among our emerging world leaders. Delegates will have the opportunity to expand their professional network and understanding of world affairs.
The qualities we are searching for in this Global Leadership Development in Social Change program are:
1. Young leaders with exceptional leadership skills.
2.       Young leaders with great knowledge on current world affairs.
3.       Most importantly, young leaders with strong desire to build a sustainable and just world.
