The Department of Mass Media, Kishinchand Chellaram College, Mumbai in association with Bombay Teacher’s Training College, Mumbai and Jönköping University, Sweden is set to host the 7^th edition of the International Media Summit- a three-day event from February 13-15, 2020 at KC College, Churchgate. The theme for this conference will be Learning, Digitalization and Media cited as LeaDMe that will be unveiling issues related to Globalization, Digitization, Glocal Village, Virtual Learning and more importantly the Customized Media for Education and Entertainment.

Digitalization and Media have been two interdependent aspects that have changed the horizons of learning and have maneuvered to a phase that goes beyond the conventional definition of studying.  They have went through and are proceeding with a plethora of permutations and combinations to tap the crux of enterprises, educational sectors and the professionals involved and associated with it. Issues of Digitalization-Media-Learning together have become revolutionary forces that today break the chains of monotony and enlighten us with new approaches and fresh fields of study.

Learning, Digitalization and Media International Conference has been conceptualized as a strategic initiative for a theoretical research-oriented conference meeting that will be conducted on the 13^th -14^th Feb 2020 and a cross-sectorial platform on 15^th Feb 2020. Around 40 eminent researchers and academicians from across the world will present their research in this interdisciplinary conference. The conference will also bring together enthusiastic youth and student committees as it will provide an excellent ground of learning, sharing and growing. Communication, Culture, and Diversity (CCD) has played an important role in the formation of this academic initiative.

The chief guest for the inauguration ceremony of LeaDMe is Mr. Alessandro Giuliani, Managing Director, MISB Bocconi, and Mr. Sachin Kalbag, Executive Editor; Hindustan Times is the chief guest for the valedictory ceremony. The keynote address of the conference will be delivered by Coomi Vevaina, Education Futurist, Creative Writer & Founder Director, Centre for Connection Education and Management.

Dr. Hemlata Bagla, Principal, KC College, said, “The conference has grown bigger this time as we associate with two other leading academic institutions, Jonkoping University (JU), Sweden and Bombay Teacher’s Training College (BTTC). An amalgamation of cross-faculty hailing from media, communication and education schools will cover the comprehensive aspects and give a new definition to learning”.

Elaborating further, Ms. Manjula Srinivas, Head, Department of Mass Media and convener of the conference, said, “This conference brings a convergence of communication, education and media schools of different countries. As media convergence is the definition today, so will be the conference, a convergence of thinkers, academicians and industry professionals from different parts of the world.”

With education and media at its core, the LeadMe conference will witness numerous discussions and deliberations about shifts in the fields after technological advancements that one can learn from and explore.
