Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur was established in 1959 declaring an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament. The institute offers academic and research resources spanning 19 departments, 25 centres and three interdisciplinary programmes in engineering, science, design, humanities, and management disciplines, with more than 580 full-time faculty members and approximately 9000 students.
IIT Kanpur has launched a SATHEE SSC to help candidates prepare for various examinations conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. Previously, this initiative was announced for the candidates preparing for the competitive exams (JEE and NEET). Now, the candidates preparing for the Staff Selection Commission recruitment exams can also benefit from this initiative. This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Education reflects the strong commitment of the government to provide affordable and quality education to the candidates/students, especially students from economically weaker backgrounds while ensuring, they have equal access to preparation as their peers.
What is the Sathee SSC Platform?
SATHEE are Self Assessment, Test, and Help for Entrance Exams, an initiative of the Ministry of Education that aims to give a free learning and assessment platform for students. Includes the preparation materials for students in English, Hindi, and other regional languages of India so that students can prepare for exams like JEE and NEET, help students gain access to training and coaching for competitive examinations for free.

The platform SATHEE is offering the course and study material for the SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff). In addition, the platform will be offering more exams in the SSC category. Candidates can now register for the free coaching on the SATHEE portal or through the app which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store. the crash course started on the portal on July 10. Registration for the exams is ongoing on the official web portal for 4,887 vacancies. The last date for submitting application forms on the SSC portal is July 31.

Professor Manindra Agrawal, Director, said in an interview that the SATHEE SSC is in line with the objectives of NEP 2020 ahead stated “With the launch of the SATHEE SSC, we continue our commitment to provide quality education to everyone. This initiative represents a significant step in leveraging technology to empower students across India and prepare them not only for exams but also for a promising future.”
Further, Prof. Amey Karkare, Principal Investigator of the project stated,
“Integrating AI-enabled tutoring system into SATHEE SSC allows us to offer a personalized learning experience that adapts to individual student needs.”
Shri Govind Jaiswal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education highlighted
that “The SATHEE SSC platform will bridge the digital divide and will create an inclusive educational environment where aspirants/ students from all
backgrounds, can excel and achieve their dreams.”
Varieties of study resources, practice exams, video lectures, and interactive sessions with knowledgeable instructors will be available on the SATHEE SSC platform.
