IGNOU Launches Up MA In Bhagavad Gita Studies

Every religion has a sacred book or document by which people lead their lives. Similarly, the Bhagavad Gita, meaning ‘The Song of the Supreme’ is a 700-verse Hindu scripture, which is part of the epic Mahabharata, one of the oldest and most sacred books of Hinduism. The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched a post-graduate programme in Bhagavad Gita Studies. The Course will be part of the School of Humanities and offered through open and distance learning mode (ODL) from July this year. Candidates with bachelor’s degrees can apply for MA in Bhagavad Gita Studies online. This MA course in Bhagavad Gita Studies has flexible study durations of two to four years with a total of 500 seats for the course. The medium of instruction will be Hindi. It will be structured for 80 credits.
