The Haryana Government has brought the IT Saksham Yuva Scheme 2024 to enhance youth empowerment and employment and this initiative aims to provide jobs to 5,000 young individuals in its initial phase, the scheme aligns with Mission 60,000 and was announced during the 2024-25 budget speech by former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar seeking to employ at least 60,000 youths from underprivileged backgrounds. Eligible graduates and post-graduates from IT backgrounds have a three-month training program under the Haryana IT Programme. Post-training is placed in various state departments, corporations, and private entities. Participants will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 20,000 for the first six months, incrementing to Rs 25,000 from the seventh month onwards.
What does this scheme mean?
Changes in Village Land Laws
In the same meeting, the Cabinet also changed some old laws about village lands. These changes help many farmers who have been using specific lands for a long time and now, if a farmer or their family has been using a piece of land for many years (since it was given to them under an old law from 1949), they can own that land officially. It will help thousands of farmers across Haryana who have been farming on these lands for decades. They will have to pay some money to the village council to get full ownership, but this will solve many old problems and court cases.
Important Initiatives
These further decisions show that the Haryana government is trying to improve life for young people, farmers, and others in the state. The IT scheme is especially important because it’s part of a bigger plan to create 60,000 jobs for young people from families that don’t have much money. By offering good pay and training in the IT field, the government hopes to help young people start their careers that bring more tech skills to different parts of the government and private businesses in Haryana. These new plans and changes start to happen, and many people in Haryana will be watching to see how they work out and how they might change life in the state.
