Festival Fever

Most music lovers prefer attending festivals than going to individual concerts. It gives the listener exposure to more artists, brings a variety of crowds to the venue and gives rising artists a platform to showcase their talents. Today there are several music festivals around the world, each well-known for their own unique qualities. Here are some of the best performances of artists in recent years.

Glastonbury 2013

Popular Shefffield band Arctic Monkeys who made waves in the music scene with their first song ‘I bet you look good on the dancefloor’ have garnered a dedicated fan-following over the years. Their latest album ‘AM’ broke several international records and is their best one yet. See their performance of their romantic ballad ‘Do I Wanna Know?’

Coachella 2013

Rock in Rio-2014

Many rock ‘n’ roll legends have played in this festival and the genre’s most ardent fans attend it every year. It is held in Rio and other locations every alternative year. Thousands flock to Brazil’s Copa Cabana beach to listen to the top names in the rock industry. Sziget 2014

This Austrian festival does not use mainstream advertising to publicize its performers. Yet it has a loyal fan-following who attend the fest religiously every year. Exit 2013

Sunburn 2013

Tomorrow 2014

Held in Belgium, Tomorrowland is the largest dance music festival in the world. Since its inception in 2005 it’s popularity has reached cult status and music lovers globally attend it.
