Phase 1 was conducted over 2 days; the 11th & 12th of March. On the 11th of March, teams from Mumbai presented their pitches to judges and investors. The participants were required to submit an exhaustive document detailing their business idea and its conception from initial funding to scaling in the future. The teams that were not in Mumbai or could not be present in person got a chance to present their pitches via online platforms on the 12th of March. The in-house judges evaluated and filtered the teams based on their document keeping in mind the various factors of assessment mentioned in the proposal.
Next, a speaker session by a well-renowned guest speaker took place on the 14th of March. The session revolved around the topics of entrepreneurship and startups. Further, Bizzneeti ’23 organized a Networking Meet, held offline on campus on the 16th of March. The meeting commenced with a speaker session by renowned industry experts followed by a networking meeting. It provided a unique opportunity for all participants to interact and get to know each other through various activities and events fostering collaboration and connections with like-minded individuals. During the Networking Meet participants were also able to interact in an informal capacity with industry experts seasoned in the entrepreneurial realm with established startups of their own, which aided the participants in drawing on their experience and insights to better their ventures.
Phase 2 was the grandest segment of the event. It was held on 18th March 2023 in an offline mode at NMIMS University. The top 10 qualified teams were scrutinized owing to every aspect of their business and were confident of its feasibility and had the opportunity to pitch their business ideas in real time to a table of renowned angel investors. The phase was accompanied by a live audience and the winners was awarded hefty cash prizes and gift vouchers ending on a successful note.
