BREAKING BAD


With an impressive IMDB rating of 9.5, this TV series revolves around a super-genius Chemistry teacher, who is diagnosed with incurable lung cancer, turns to manufacturing and selling methamphetamine with his former student in order to secure his family’s financial future. The series tracks the impacts of a fatal diagnosis on a regular, hard working man. The infamous dialogue “I’m not the danger, I am the danger”, said by Walter White, sums up the entire synopsis of the show in that one sentence.

 

ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK


Based on the memoir by Piper Kerman, this TV series is about a woman in her thirties who is sentenced to fifteen months in prison after being convicted of the decade-old crime of transporting money to her drug-dealing girlfriend across countries. Created by Jenji Kohen, this Orange is the new Black is absolutely spellbinding and shows us a darker side of women in prison, that is raw and very much real. It’s IMDb rating is 8.6.

 

TRUE DETECTIVE


True Detective stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, two the most versatile actors of all time, in this crime drama about police investigations unearthing the personal and professional secrets of those involved, both within and outside the law. With an IMDB rating of 9.1, this show will get you thinking and wanting for more. True Detective is one of the most thrilling works and is extremely popular.

 

SHERLOCK


With several Emmys and other accolades already in its kitty, this gripping adaption of Conan Doyle’s Sherlock has undoubtedly been one of the best shows to have ever been made. The show starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, is about consulting detective, Sherlock Holmes and his flatmate Dr. Watson. The plot, the direction and the portrayal of the characters has been critically praised by all. IMDB rates Sherlock with an impressive 9.3.

 

NARCOS


A TV series based on the King of the drug cartel, Pablo Escobar, Narcos is for every crime show aficionado who thinks he has seen enough. This gritty drama show that has violent, bloody battles between members of the cartel peddling tons of kilos of cocaine and drug agents from Colombia, near death escapes and a wild goose chase from the police and drug enforcement administration. With an IMDB rating of 9.3, this Netflix production is a must watch.
