Arthashastra 2020 – The Financial Markets Festival Of NM College Concludes

Arthashastra 2020, held on the 23rd and 24th of January by the students of Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, was nothing short of a dream come true. Being the maiden Financial Markets Festival of the college, there was a lot riding on the students to deliver and the two days of the fest truly seemed to bring their vision to life.

Arthashastra, in its very first year, witnessed a huge rush of excited participants and visitors. There was a flurry of activities all around, especially at Artha Mania – Arthashastra’s twist on a carnival zone with cool mini-games, delicious food stalls and relax areas.

Arthashastra truly combined the essence of a professional fest with that of a fun fiesta. The events were all full house – from fast-paced auctions, thrilling stock market simulations, a murder mystery treasure hunt, investing arenas, a life-size corporate monopoly and even portfolio management based event. They all had their unique twists to your regular festival favourite games, which was observed in the happy and satisfied faces of all participants and organisers.

Apart from these, each night saw a social event – a Stand-Up Special by comedians of Comicstaan fame and a Corporate Conclave with industry experts in the business world. Everyone attending, including students and teachers, all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Moreover, the zeal with which the young organisers managed everything truly makes one wonder at the amount of work that goes behind the curtains. But as the closing ceremony saw the winning contingents celebrate and everyone cheering each other on to congratulate the success of Arthashastra 2020, the team itself was perhaps the most content and overjoyed with how brilliantly their work turned out.

Two days of competitive events, socials and carnival later, Arthashastra 2020 can be termed as a stellar beginning to the oncoming legacy of this fest, that will be cherished in the memories of all.
